Gaze-Dwell Activation is an interaction method that allows users to activate UI elements or interact with objects by simply looking at them for a set period. This method is particularly beneficial for users with limited hand mobility or those who cannot use traditional input devices.
Addresses
Provides an alternative interaction method that does not require physical input devices. It enables users to engage with digital content using only their gaze, making it more inclusive for individuals with various physical abilities.
Implementation Specification
When the user focuses their gaze on an interactive element for a predetermined duration, a "click" event is triggered. This allows users to interact with UI elements without needing physical input devices.
Interaction Patterns
The Gaze Cursor uses Gaze-Dwell Activation so users can select menu options or interact with objects by simply looking at them.
The UI Summoner is used with Gaze-Dwell Activation to allow users to summon a distant menu or interface by looking directly at it and dwelling there for a moment.
